Embody Love to Spread Love
My goal for Jade Heart is to help others Embody Love to Spread Love. It’s the “why” that I discovered while studying for my yoga teacher certification years ago. Loving yourself feels so good and is something that we should all strive for every day. By silencing your inner critic and offering yourself understanding and love, you come to accept yourself for exactly who you are right now. And when we accept and love ourselves today, we are more accepting and loving to the people in our daily lives.
How are you cultivating love for yourself? Our society conditions us to compare ourselves to others, making it easy to allow our inner critic free range and idealize a future version of ourselves and our lives that we perceive will be bigger and better than our current reality. When we spend our time looking outside of ourselves for validation and thinking about the future (or ruminating about the past), we are robbing ourselves of the beauty and magic available to us in the present moment.
To embody love, we must recognize that love is our truest nature. It resides in you, right now, just as you are. To cultivate that love, begin practicing self-love habits such as acceptance, kindness, patience, forgiveness, and gratitude. Give yourself space and time to process emotions, heal, and grow. This looks different for everyone. To process your emotions, you may need to talk it out, rest, exercise, or do it all! When we acknowledge our emotions, it’s like untying a knot in our energy, allowing that energy to flow through our beings. And what is that energy? It’s love. Love heals. Love cultivates. Love Grows.
